Cycle X Definition

The locked research-design note for the first formal empirical phase of the Ψ_T Evidence Observatory. Cycle X is defined before evidence entries are added to the ledger or summarized in the public dashboard.

Purpose

Define the cycle before observing the cycle.

Cycle X is designed to observe a bounded empirical trace of Ψ_T rather than chase favorable results. Its design protects baseline discipline, failure visibility, and interpretation restraint.

Locked target

Stable cross-set Ψ_T behavior and baseline/null separation across a predefined empirical evidence window.

Locked scope

Structured Ψ_T evidence records only; no trading, prediction, product, or marketing performance claims.

Locked release boundary

Only bounded cycle-level evidence summaries after internal ledger review.

Locked Definition Fields

Cycle X research-design locks.

These locked fields define what Cycle X can observe, what it can use as evidence, how each record is classified, and what may later become public.

Primary Observation Target

Stable cross-set behavior + baseline/null separation

Cycle X will observe whether Ψ_T exhibits stable cross-set behavior and distinguishable baseline/null separation across a predefined empirical evidence window.

Locked
Dataset Scope

Structured Ψ_T evidence records only

Cycle X will use only structured Ψ_T evidence records that can be compared across sets, evaluated against baseline/null references, and classified under predefined result categories.

  • Included: cross-set stability audit outputs.
  • Included: null / baseline replication outputs.
  • Included: confidence stability outputs.
  • Included: failure taxonomy records.
  • Included: Flux Finance / Flux Signal outputs only when converted into structured evidence records.
  • Excluded: trading performance, prediction accuracy, product metrics, marketing data, and unstructured interpretation notes.
Locked
Observation Window

30 calendar days after official activation

Cycle X will run for a 30-calendar-day observation window starting from the official activation date. The window cannot be changed after activation unless the revision is logged in the archive.

Locked
Evidence Unit

Cross-set Ψ_T evidence record

Each Cycle X evidence unit will be a structured cross-set Ψ_T evidence record that captures one comparable observation of Ψ_T behavior across defined sets, including its baseline/null relation, confidence state, result category, and interpretation boundary.

  • Primary record type: cross_set.
  • Supporting record types: null_replication, failure_case, confidence_stability.
Locked
Baseline / Null Model

Three-layer comparison model

Cycle X will evaluate each structured Ψ_T evidence record against a three-layer comparison model: null expectation, simple baseline behavior, and cross-set randomization or shuffled-set comparison.

  • Layer 1: null expectation.
  • Layer 2: simple baseline behavior.
  • Layer 3: cross-set randomization / shuffled-set comparison.
Locked
Result Classification Rule

Five bounded result categories

Each Cycle X evidence unit will be classified according to its cross-set stability, baseline/null separation, confidence behavior, coverage quality, and failure visibility.

  • supportive: stable cross-set behavior and distinguishable baseline/null separation.
  • neutral: readable and valid, but does not materially strengthen or weaken the target.
  • inconclusive: insufficient coverage, unstable confidence, weak comparison structure, or mixed behavior.
  • failed: no stable cross-set behavior or no baseline/null separation.
  • requires_replication: potentially meaningful trace, but too local, early, fragile, or under-tested.
Locked
Public Release Rule

Bounded cycle-level evidence summary only

Cycle X results may be published only as bounded cycle-level evidence summaries after the internal evidence ledger has been reviewed. Public release must preserve supportive, neutral, inconclusive, failed, and requires_replication records, and must not present Cycle X as proof, prediction validation, trading performance, or commercial product evidence.

Locked
Cycle X Activation Date

Official Activation Date

Cycle X officially begins on 2026-06-01 and runs through a 30-calendar-day observation window ending on 2026-06-30. All evidence records created during this window must follow the Cycle X Logging Protocol.

Active
Source Boundary

Flux Finance may be a source, not the Observatory itself.

Flux Finance / Flux Signal outputs may be included only as structured evidence inputs. They will not be treated as trading performance, prediction proof, or commercial product validation.

Definition Boundary

This page defines Cycle X; it does not report evidence and does not strengthen any claim about Ψ_T. No single evidence unit, classification, or public summary proves or disproves Ψ_T. Cycle X only tests whether a stable and distinguishable empirical trace appears under defined conditions.

Next

Prepare the Cycle X evidence ledger.

Next implementation task: create the first Cycle X ledger shell using the locked evidence-unit structure, then set the official activation date when empirical logging is ready to begin.
